This is the first book that i have read of Amaya Thorne's. Honestly i have not read a book in 20 years. I found this tale to be riveting. It is a story based on Peter Pan unlike any i have read before. What i enjoyed so much in this book was the strong, compassionate and genuine from the heart characters that she has created in this book. There is a weighty theme throughout this book of family and keeping one's promise to those whom you love and care about. The main character Wendy finds herself caught up in and carried away to Neverland all at once disoriented and immediately fighting for her vary survival. Wendy comes from a tortured past and fights to overcome and endure all the adversity that she has lived through and endured throughout her life.. Wendy is referred to as "Wendy Mother" by the delightful and intriguing characters in this modern retake of Peter Pan. Throughout this story she makes bonds with friends and overcomes her enemies and she triumphs over great adversity. Wendy finds love, finds rest and in her heart a place she can call home in Neverland. I was reminded greatly of Alice in Wonderland and most particularly of the game, "Alice Madness Returns." the whole time that i read this book. For those of you who enjoy video games as i do you will understand that in short this book for me was thrilling to no end. I read it a couple of months ago and i am sure that i will read it again. if you like off the beaten path fiction, fairy tales, romance, drama and a story of heart and soul, this is the book for you. i highly recommend it for your reading pleasure.
